Memory Bowl
Recently I was contacted by a friend of mine. There had been a death in her family and she was seeking what I refer to as a Memory Bowl to, well, remember him by. I have made this type of bowl with receiving blankets, old aprons, and even pajama pants to serve as a comforting reminder of a child all grown up or someone special that for one reason or another can't be near us as often as we would like.
For this particular order, I was mailed 4 flannel button-front shirts and have begun molding them into useful reminders of this family member. Here are some photos of the first out of two.
If you have a need for a memory bowl, you can contact me by e-mail earthmamahyde@yahoo.com or search for Paisley Peace on facebook.

They are so beautiful! Such a loving gift.
ReplyDeleteOh, it is just lovely!! I can't wait to send your link to my father-in-law (which I'm off to do now). Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and added it right away to my list of homeschool families!
ReplyDeleteI really like your bowls too, and I am wondering if you have a tutorial or something that I could use to try to make our own ourselves?
Thanks!
Alex,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, thank you, you're sweet! I have never posted a tutorial. It's just single crochet spiral pattern. I just use cloth strips and a bigger hook!
Meditate Your Peace, Jesse
